The GRPM boasts one of Michigan’s largest collections of historical and cultural artifacts and scientific specimens that tell the stories of West Michigan and beyond. From 2018-2020, they hosted TOYS!, an interactive, multi-generation exhibition of toys and games to rekindle childhood memories and spark the creation of new ones.

What We did
The Grand Rapids Public Museum first approached us to help tell stories around their TOYS! exhibit, which was intentionally designed by GRPM staff and several experts from the community, to make sure the design was as inclusive as possible, which included being displayed in English, Spanish, and having elements of Braille.
Later on, GRPM chose to work with us again on additional video projects as showcased below.
Challenges
Grand Rapids Public Museum wanted to highlight their TOYS! exhibit as it was intentionally designed to be accessible to all audiences. The challenge was capturing the exhibit in an accessible way as well, without disrupting exhibit attendees.
Results
The GRPM marketing team and exhibit curator were thrilled with how the videos turned out and were excited to show how GRPM is leading the way for more accessible experiences. We were also hired to create a video for their upcoming fundraising event.
