What Happens After Launch: A Look at 9 Months of Growth with The Social G Co.

Launch day isn't the finish line. Here's what 9 months of steady content and SEO work actually did for one Grand Rapids small business.
A brand launch is the starting line, not the finish. See how 9 months of content, SEO, and web support grew one client's traffic and leads.

Every brand launch feels like the finish line. New logo, new site, new energy. But the truth is, launch day is the start of the real work. What happens in the months after is what actually moves the needle for a business.

We got to see that play out with The Social G Co., a Grand Rapids social media agency we built a brand and website for. Since launch, we’ve stuck around as their ongoing content, SEO, and web management partner. Here’s what nine months of steady, [un]glamorous work actually looks like on paper.

The site started earning its keep

A website only matters if it does something. For The Social G Co., it started converting strangers into leads almost right away, and it kept doing it. Biggby, iSmash GR, Barry & Bear, Collins Concrete, Leo’s Seafood, and more. New inquiries showed up through the contact form month after month, not as a launch-week spike but as a real, ongoing channel. In March 2026 alone, the site generated 6 new inquiries, and one qualified lead turned into a paying client

Search visibility nearly tripled

Each month, the Lucera team tracks a lot of numbers, but this one stands out: comparing November 2025 through January 2026 to the same three months a year prior, Google impressions grew from 3.11K to 9.02K. That’s a 190% increase! Clicks followed the same trend, up from 62 to 79. Average position climbed from 36.6 to 24.7 over that stretch, meaning the site moved from page 3 territory to somewhere people actually scroll to.

One case study outperformed the entire site

We’re believers in proof over promises, so when we published a case study on Biggby Coffee, we watched closely. It earned a 5.88% click-through rate, dramatically higher than any other page on the site. People don’t just want to hear that an agency gets results, they want to see it. That’s exactly why we keep building out The Social G Co.’s case study library, and why we recommend it to nearly every client.

The pages people land on are actually working

Lastly, traffic means nothing if visitors bounce the second they arrive. After a round of content and messaging updates, The Social G Co.’s About page held an 8.6% bounce rate, and Services held 4.2%. Both are well below what’s typical for a small business site. Visitors are staying, reading, and (based on the inquiry numbers) taking action.

The real lesson

Finally, it’s important to note that none of this happened because of one big swing. It happened because of small, consistent moves: a meta description rewrite here, a new case study there, a monthly SEO check-in, a fresh blog post when the content calendar called for it. Steady work compounds. That’s the whole philosophy behind how we support our clients, and The Social G Co. is a clear example of what it looks like when it’s working.
